Has anyone ever asked you to define your “style”? As an interior designer by trade, I get the question all the time. Better yet, people assume that my home looks SO much more put together than their own just because of my profession. To tell you the truth, I don’t have much of a personal design aesthetic, but it ebbs and flows with my life stage. Sometimes it’s what’s trendy, or easiest to maintain, or functional, or elegant, or vintage, or hides dirt well, or holds up to children, or falls within my budget. One common thread is that everything in my home is livable.
