New Home for a New Year

Building a home is no. joke. There’s something about all of the tough decisions and selections, mixed with the emotional and financial investment that creates an attachment of sorts. It becomes your baby. All the hours laboring and loving and hating…all the ups and downs. It’s a perspective that I’ve never held, and I always joke with Zach that I don’t want to subject myself to it until I know it’s my forever home…now we’ll see if that actually happens!

I want to share a different kind of home makeover before and after from a client in Byers, CO. It’s a messy process, much like home-building. It started with a blueprint and a Pinterest board. From there, we built out a 3D model to envision the kitchen and great room, view the lofted ceiling, obtain scale and perspective, and help with basic placement if FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The final layout of the great room included a pass through fireplace to the deck, surrounded by natural quarries stone and a reclaimed wood mantle. Accents of wood and brass bring warmth into the white room, and custom pewter green wainscoting acts as a rich contrast against the bright lofted ceilings and light, natural wood tones. We also provided a second option with slightly varying finishes and furniture pieces…take a look!

These renderings provided more than a reveal for these homeowners, but it was like seeing their baby for the first time. We can’t wait to share the gourmet kitchen design in a later post! We hope this great room inspires you and gives you your own home remodel, renovation, or home makeover ideas!

We’d love to help you revitalize and refresh your space, and the process couldn’t be easier. You can get started, view home design before and afters, and learn more here!
